Training to become a security guard will require you to study and enroll in a 40hour training course. There are many available in the city - especially down town core. - Health & Safety

- Use of Force Training
To book your security guard examination, you can go to any of the Toronto Serco locations. These are the same locations where you would do your driving test. The security guard test location at Downsview complex is probably the largest and easiest to book a test. But remember, you must complete the training requirements first.
Also, once you have completed your Security Guard Training and licensing requirements in Ontario, you have the ability to work across Canada simply by applying to transfer your Security Guard Training Credentials. The license for a security guard in Ontario will cost about $80 and the cost to take the security guard test will be $60. This is a small fee to pay, but you will be able to join the high in demand job market in Toronto.
